First Nations Development Institute

First Nations Development Institute (First Nations) is a Native-led nonprofit that supports economic and community development for Native American tribes and Native nonprofits. While not primarily an environmental agency, First Nations has actively supported and co-hosted Indigenous climate and environment convenings—examples include co-hosting conferences with the Native American Rights Fund and supporting the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) climate summits—making it relevant to tribal environmental conferences, climate resilience summits, climate adaptation, and environmental justice work for Indigenous communities.
