Council of State Governments Southern Office

The Council of State Governments Southern Office (CSG South) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that champions collaboration, leadership and innovation across Southern state governments by equipping public servants with trusted, nonpartisan resources to drive informed and effective policy. It serves fifteen Southern member states and provides policy research, leadership development, staff training, and regional events, including the Southern Legislative Conference. In recent years CSG South officially adopted its current name (2022), hosted record-attended conferences, and launched a five-year SKY 5 strategic plan to guide its policy engagement and operations (2023–2025).
