About Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials
AARO (Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials) is the only nationally chartered organization dedicated to the regulation of real property appraisers, representing state appraiser and appraisal management company regulatory programs. Its mission is to advocate for member jurisdictions in the enforcement and administration of appraisal regulatory laws and to advance these programs through leadership, cooperation, communication, and education; recent items on the site note participation in an Appraisal Subcommittee public hearing on appraisal bias (Jan 2023) and an office relocation (Nov 2022).
