American Shore & Beach Preservation Association

The ASBPA National Coastal Conference Centennial Celebration, celebrating 100 years of shore and beach preservation, will be held in New Jersey, the site of the first beach preservationists' revolutionary idea for future coastal protection in 1926. This conference welcomes all coastal managers and stakeholders to learn the latest science, engineering, and policy needed to maintain and improve the health of our beachfront and estuarine shorelines and ecosystems, while developing collaborative networks to promote best management practices. A pre-conference workshop on "Shaping Advancements to Federal Coastal Flood Hazard Information" will be hosted with NOAA, USGS, USACE, and ASBPA, focusing on fostering collaboration between federal science providers and coastal practitioners.
