American Association of Port Authorities

AAPA (American Association of Port Authorities) is the trade association representing public port authorities and agencies across the Western Hemisphere; it advocates for ports, advances professionalism, and provides education, research, and events for port leaders. Its membership includes public port authorities, commercial supply-chain partners (ocean carriers, terminal operators, stevedores, truckers, BCOs) and academic institutions; AAPA conducts advocacy in Washington, D.C., and has led work on funding and policy issues such as Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund reform and seeking federal support during the COVID-19 downturn.
