Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact

The 18th Annual Southeast Florida Climate Leadership Summit, hosted by Broward County, is the flagship annual event of the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. It convenes innovative thinkers and leaders from the business, government, academic, and nonprofit communities to exchange ideas and discuss opportunities and resilience goals. The theme, "Capitalizing on Climate: Action Through Innovation," focuses on leveraging innovation and investment to drive climate solutions and exploring how climate action can create economic and social opportunities while building resilience. The summit aims to share knowledge, showcase solutions, build partnerships, and explore innovation to help Southeast Florida thrive in the face of climate impacts such as sea level rise, extreme heat, and flooding. It helps communities learn from regional climate science and projections, hear about successful resilience projects and strategies, identify new tools, policies, and partnerships, and build a coordinated response to shared climate impacts that cross county boundaries.
