OAPSA Fall Conference

The OAPSA September Conference, themed "We > Me: The Magic of Shared Insight and Collaboration," is a professional growth event designed to provide expert insights and foster shared experiences and collaboration among colleagues. The conference agenda includes a keynote from Stuart MacDonald focusing on the magic of daily work, legal and advocacy sessions with Dr. David Bateman addressing legally sound practices, dispute resolution, and advocacy. Collaboration and member presentations will cover critical topics such as improving systems for Paraprofessionals and Special Education Leadership, Student-Led IEPs & Small Group Co-Teaching, Navigating the Least Restrictive Environment, Trauma-responsive care and Student Mental Health, and Consistent ESY Decision-Making and Collaborative Tiered Interventions. The second day features a keynote by Jan McInnis on finding humor in change, insights on special education advocacy from Barbra Shaner, essential state updates from ODEW, and the latest legal updates from Ennis Britton. Evening events include the OAPSA President’s Reception and a PSI sponsored Cleveland Keys event.
