About this conference
The Oregon Center on Behavioral Health & Justice Integration (OCBHJI) helps jurisdictions across the state implement and improve efforts in engaging and treating individuals with behavioral health conditions, neurocognitive conditions, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) who are at risk of incarceration or are currently within the criminal justice system, while collaborating with agencies to support public safety. The NW Regional CIT Conference focuses on Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT), a community collaboration program that brings together resources to promote positive outcomes for individuals experiencing behavioral health, I/DD, and neurocognitive concerns who interact with the criminal justice system. The conference aims to facilitate access to treatment rather than incarceration by strengthening service linkage and engagement, and enhancing knowledge about effective community-based programs and services.
