About this conference
The NIAIA 2026 Annual Training Conference is dedicated to educating, developing, and assisting internal affairs units and their investigators by showcasing issues of concern and interest. The conference offers quality training on topics such as tactical interviewing, open-source intelligence and social media in investigations, effects of fatigue on internal affairs investigations and law enforcement performance, current trends in AI related to IA investigations, and case studies. Speakers will address areas including organizational transformation, leadership, community engagement, reform efforts, legal liability, risk management, ethical leadership, operational performance for military and first responders, emotion, nonverbal behavior, deception, culture, threat assessment, combat stress, and OSINT.
