About this conference
The Newly Elected Officials Training is a multi-day event hosted by the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) and the Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA). It is designed to assist newly elected or re-elected county officials in Indiana with a smooth transition into office by providing essential tools and understandings. The training includes a review of public access laws, public purchasing laws, ethics laws, the county budget process, and other critical county processes. While specific sessions are tailored for Clerks, Recorders, Surveyors, Auditors, Treasurers, and County Council members, all county elected officials are expected to benefit from the comprehensive training. One-day and two-day registration options will be available.
