NEA National Leadership Summit

NEA's annual National Leadership Summit is an event that helps to develop activist leaders and prepare them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to lead relevant, thriving associations and to lead in their professions. It uses a unified, strategic, and interdisciplinary approach to leadership development, reinforcing and supporting key leadership competencies in seven strategic areas. The summit aims to advocate for education professionals, unite members and the nation to fulfill the promise of public education, and prepare every student to succeed in a diverse and interdependent world. It focuses on strengthening leadership skills, engaging in advocacy, organizing effectively, and leading with clarity and courage within local associations, classrooms, worksites, and communities. The Summit also supports the creation of an association-wide leadership system, focusing on organizing power and advancing racial and social justice strategies.
