About this conference
The NEA Aspiring Educators Conference gathers pre-service teachers and future educators annually in late June, prior to the NEA's Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly. The conference serves as a platform for Aspiring Educators to connect with colleagues, deepen their understanding of the education profession, and engage in critical issues impacting public schools and communities. It is designed to provide experiential learning opportunities, helping NEA Aspiring Educator members and leaders develop knowledge and skills aligned with the NEA Leadership Competency Framework and the Aspiring Educators Core Values, which include Community Engagement, Educator Quality, Political Action, and Racial & Social Justice. The program advocates for education professionals and aims to unite members in fulfilling the promise of public education, preparing every student for a diverse and interdependent world.
