About this conference
The NE/AER Annual Conference, with the theme "Bridging the Gap," calls on Vision Education & Rehabilitation Professionals to think creatively to close gaps in service delivery across the lifespan, from the early childhood and elementary age years through the transition into adulthood and on into the senior stage. The conference aims to foster collaboration to re-imagine comprehensive, continuous support across children's and adult services continuum. Proposals are sought in areas such as connecting children's and adult services for continuity, linking education, employment, and independent living across programs and systems, promoting collaboration and partnership, and exploring holistic approaches to vision rehabilitation including technology, orientation and mobility, guide dog services, self determination, DeafBlind services, research, and AI.
