About this conference
Modern prosecutions are no longer defined by a lack of evidence. They are increasingly shaped by overwhelming volumes of forensic, digital, biological, and testimonial information that can strengthen a case---or create significant strategic risk when misunderstood, overstated, or poorly integrated into the broader case narrative. Prosecutors are often asked to make critical decisions in environments where evidence appears highly technical, scientifically persuasive, and increasingly complex. Determining what evidence actually means---and what can be clearly explained, strategically defended, and credibly presented---is becoming one of the central prosecutorial challenges in modern litigation. Recognizing risk---and building cases that remain coherent and defensible under scrutiny---is essential. NDAA's 2026 Forensic Evidence Conference is designed to support that work. This is not a traditional forensic science overview program. It is a practical, prosecutor-focused training built around how prosecutors evaluate, interpret, challenge, prioritize, and strategically use complex evidence in real-world prosecutions---across investigation, charging decisions, admissibility strategy, and trial presentation. Participants will examine how evidentiary decisions shape case theory, how competing interpretations emerge from the same evidence, and how to build cases that remain clear and credible---even when evidence is technically complex, conflicting, or overwhelming in volume.
