NDAA's 2026 Domestic Violence Conference focuses on prosecuting coercive control, including stalking, strangulation, and digital abuse. The conference addresses how domestic violence cases are built over time through patterns of coercive control, escalating risk, and shifting victim dynamics. It is a practical, prosecutor-focused training designed to support professionals in identifying, developing, and prosecuting domestic violence cases across investigation, charging decisions, and trial strategy. Participants will learn to identify and respond to lethality risk indicators, build prosecutable cases without relying solely on victim testimony, apply trauma-informed approaches, integrate forensic evidence and expert testimony, and develop strategies for presenting coercive control and victim behavior in court. The program is structured into three days covering violence dynamics, litigation strategy and evidence, and investigation, collaboration, and implementation.
