About this conference
The National Organic Standards Board (Board) will meet to discuss the following topics: substances petitioned for addition to, or deletion from, the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List); substances due to sunset from the National List in 2028; and recommendations on organic regulations. The Board typically meets twice per year. Prior to meetings, the Board reviews written public comments and listens to oral public comments. During meetings, the Board discusses agenda items and then votes on recommendations to the Secretary of Agriculture in a public forum. Meeting topics will encompass a wide range of issues, including substances petitioned for addition to, or removal from, the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List), substances on the National List that are under sunset review, and guidance on organic policies.
