About this conference
From October 19-21, 2026, the National Association of Pupil Services Administrators (NAPSA) will hold its 60th Annual Conference at the Doubletree By Hilton Annapolis Hotel in Annapolis, MD. The conference program, developed in collaboration with the Maryland State Department of Education, will feature outstanding experts presenting on a diverse range of topics relevant to pupil/student services. Key discussion areas include Mandated MTSS, Chronic Absenteeism, Bullying Prevention, The Effect of Underrepresentation on Staffing, Learning, and School Culture, a Legal Update on Issues Affecting Pupil Services, Responsible Use of AI, How to Identify Threat Level and Determine an Appropriate Response, and A Layered Approach to School Safety – Practices Using Wrap Around Interventions. A special presentation by the Maryland School for the Blind is also scheduled. The conference will begin with registration on Sunday, October 18, 2026, afternoon, with sessions officially kicking off on Monday, October 19, 2026, featuring a welcome from NAPSA President Dr. Sophia Allmond and the Maryland State Department of Education.
