The 2026 NAEA Conference is designed to inspire and connect alternative educators from around the world. The event's theme is 'Harboring Hope. Anchoring Possibility.' It will provide professional learning, collaboration, and practical strategies to support equitable, trauma-informed, and student-centered practices in alternative education. Attendees can expect keynote speakers, breakout sessions covering various topics such as CTE, Adult Ed/Justice Impacted Youth, Advocacy, Alternative Education Programming (funding, attendance, processes), Trauma Informed/SEL & Restorative Practices, and networking events.
