NACTO Designing Cities Conference: Nashville 2027

NACTO's annual Designing Cities Conference brings together over 1,000 people passionate about advancing the state of transportation in North American cities, including engineers, planners, government agency leaders, elected officials, advocates, and other transportation professionals of all career levels. The conference serves as a platform for cities from around the world to discuss safer streets, smarter transportation, and stronger communities. It emphasizes that great transportation projects involve building trust, understanding human behavior, pragmatic implementation, and creating integrated systems. The focus is on what streets and public spaces make possible: access to opportunity, spaces for human connection, and venues for community engagement, recognizing that every decision about these assets has ripple effects that can connect or divide, include or exclude. The conference aims to foster intentional choices that strengthen communities and expand opportunity.
