About this conference
The Midcontinent Clean Energy Summit focuses on the transformation of the Midcontinent region's energy landscape, addressing rising load growth, transmission buildout, interconnection reforms, renewables additions, reliability, and affordability concerns. It convenes stakeholders to discuss asset development and operations in the MISO grid, which is experiencing a $32 billion transmission buildout—the largest grid expansion in U.S. history. The summit brings together developers, policymakers, regulators, LSEs, financiers, tax equity experts, and other industry leaders to gain insights into the dynamics shaping transmission, interconnection, utility-scale wind and solar, firm resources, storage, community solar, distributed energy resources (DERs), and the policy necessary for one of the most capital-intensive U.S. power markets. The event aims to provide strategies for navigating challenges such as interconnection queue uncertainties, siting and permitting roadblocks, and finance and tax equity strategies, ensuring participants are prepared to capitalize on the massive opportunities.
