About this conference
This year's conference marks the 25th Anniversary of the Mid-Coast Hurricane and Disaster Conference. The theme of "Landfall to Legacy" celebrates the achievement of 25 years in emergency preparedness along the Mid-Coast Region of the Texas Gulf Coast. The conference will cover two full days of exhibits, trainings, presentations, and speakers. Its purpose is to share valuable information, provide training, and highlight lessons learned and best practices for responding to local, regional, and statewide hazards---whether natural, technological, or man-made. Additionally, the conference fosters networking opportunities, which have proven to enhance interagency coordination during complex emergencies and disasters. Building relationships with response partners before an incident occurs leads to improved communication, partner recognition, and a better understanding of available resources.
