About this conference

The much anticipated SCSBA Legislative Advocacy Conference sets the stage for all the legislative action that takes place from January through June each year in our state's capitol. Learn what will likely be the General Assembly's top education issues in 2026 from state political, policy and budgetary leaders and find out how your voice can make a difference! As a school board member and public official in South Carolina, you play a critical role in the decisions made during the SCSBA's annual Delegate Assembly. During this business meeting, delegates convene to make important decisions on behalf of governing boards and students in all 72 school districts, elect the association's leadership, adopt legislative priorities and statements of belief, and receive annual and financial reports.

SCSBA can link your business to board members attending a variety of unique and customized conferences throughout the year. Depending upon SCSBA needs, your contribution may be used to (but not limited to): sponsor a workshop or speaker, purchase specialty items, sponsor a reception, lunch or dinner, pay for research, sponsor a publication, sponsor special projects. Depending upon the level of your support, your contribution will be recognized in printed materials, display signs, public announcements and introductions from the podium, or printed acknowledgment in publications.
