KLC Summer Summit

The KLC Summer Summit brings city officials together for three days of focused learning and meaningful connection, with each day dedicated to a single, high-impact topic affecting Kentucky cities. Attendees can customize their experience by attending one, two, or all three days, as each day offers a deep dive into its respective topic. Day 1 focuses on Economic Development, exploring how cities can strengthen local economies and position themselves for sustainable growth through business attraction and retention, long-term growth and redevelopment, partnerships, resources, and immediate strategies. Day 2, City Officials Academy II (COA II), provides advanced training for experienced city officials on topics such as personnel management, zoning, planning, regulatory authority related to land development, city regulatory authority, government accounting & budgeting, and legislative issues impacting city operations. Day 3 centers on Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC), bringing together city officials, state leaders, enforcement professionals, and industry representatives to discuss state ABC leadership and enforcement, quota retail package & licensing legislation, and industry perspectives.
