This safety conference is designed for employees of private companies, business owners, and individuals working for public agencies to enhance workplace hazard recognition and strengthen a culture of workplace safety, thereby reducing employee injuries and illnesses. The theme for this event is "Building Safety Forward." The agenda includes presentations on OSHA's mission, partnership programs, and the latest injury/fatality statistics, along with frequently cited workplace violations, Heat Illness Prevention and Awareness, Machine Guarding/Amputation Prevention, understanding and mitigating "Hurry Syndrome," and effective onboarding strategies to reinforce safety training.
