About this conference

The Joint Public Health Conference, hosted by the Missouri Public Health Association (MPHA), Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MODHSS), Missouri Public Health Institute (MPHI), and Missouri Institute for Community Health (MICH), aims to take the lead in identifying public health needs and problems, and to collaboratively initiate and support actions for improving the health of all Missourians. The conference's objectives include providing information for public health professionals and governing body members, facilitating partnership efforts to enhance health and human services coordination for Missourians, creating an environment for information exchange among individuals involved in public health, and increasing involvement in associations committed to improving health outcomes across the state. The event brings together public health professionals from Missouri and around the region to discuss a range of topics, including communicable disease prevention and control, emergency preparedness and response, health education and community outreach, essential public health, health equity and social determinants of health, and leadership and management services.
