IWBI Healthy Building Policy Summit 2026

The IWBI Healthy Building Policy Summit 2026 is the third annual convening hosted by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in partnership with the Georgetown Global Cities Initiative. The summit will gather an influential cross-sector group of policymakers, government officials, industry leaders, and experts in Washington, D.C. It aims to explore how policy is increasingly driving outcomes at the intersection of health, sustainability, and building performance. Key topics will include the evolving healthy building and indoor air quality (IAQ) policy landscape, advancing a health-first agenda for schools, the role of buildings in supporting brain health, human performance, and long-term resilience, private sector leadership and market transformation, innovation and research in healthy buildings, the power of design in shaping healthier communities, accelerating the health and sustainability convergence, financing and incentives for healthy investments, and positioning buildings as critical infrastructure for public health and preparedness against climate-driven risks and biosecurity threats. Attendees will engage in dynamic conversations to accelerate the creation of healthier environments and learn from leading voices, including Members of Congress and Administration officials.
