The purpose of both organizations is to promote education, training, and cooperation in regards to technology and GIS. The goal of this conference is to educate, network and encourage an exchange of knowledge and professional practices. On Tuesday, there will be a day of pre-conference hands-on training for both GIS and IT professionals. The main conference, Wednesday through Friday, will be primarily comprised of five educational tracks. Two will be dedicated to geospatial technologies, two educational tracks will be dedicated to IT technologies, and one track will be comprised of interdisciplinary topics of interest to both the GIS and IT professional.
