Indiana Horticulture and Small Farm Conference & Expo

The 2026 Indiana Horticulture and Small Farm Conference & Expo, hosted by Purdue Extension and the Purdue Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, is a newly combined conference designed for specialty crop growers and small farmers across the region. It offers premier educational sessions, farmer-to-farmer networking, and opportunities to engage with a wide range of agricultural organizations and commercial vendors through an expanded trade expo. Attendees can expect high-quality content covering 11 different tracks, including fruit, vegetables, resilient agriculture, livestock, business practices, niche opportunities, flowers, urban agriculture, food safety, and labor. Session topics range from improved pruning techniques and mulching crops to raising urban livestock, food safety updates, soil health, and farm financial viability. The conference will feature a keynote presentation by Marty Travis, author of 'My Farmer, My Customer' and an expert in food aggregation, marketing, and local supply chain logistics. Additional features include a Cider Contest, a poster session highlighting research and on-farm innovation, and evening networking socials.
