The conference spans three days, featuring pre-conference user groups (April 28), a General Session, Trade Show, and Happy Hour Event (April 29), and a second General Session with a DE Update and various Breakout Sessions (April 30). Sessions cover critical topics for school business officials, such as legislative advocacy, Department of Education updates, legal questions for attorneys, mandatory sessions for New School Business Officials (covering transportation, nutrition, record retention, and board policy), fiscal year checklists, financial responsibilities for principals, 5-10 year facilities planning, insurance agent expectations, self-funding strategies, special education legal costs, school board meeting protocols, capital projects trends, efficiency improvements and going paperless, intelligent document processing for accounts payable, outsourcing options for school districts (food service, communications, finance, transportation, HR), maximizing E-Rate returns, new governmental accounting standards, public use of facilities, and spending authority in Iowa schools. The event also hosts a vendor trade show.
