The Healing Arts Chicago Summit is the third iteration of a public event focused on arts, health, and wellness. Organized collaboratively by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), and City Colleges of Chicago, this summit aims to provide a memorable arts-based experience for all attendees. Key objectives include highlighting the crucial role of community health workers, sharing insights from the Healing Arts Chicago (HAC) model which involves artist apprentices, clinicians, community health workers, and City partners, and showcasing the intergovernmental collaboration. The event will foster connections among artists, health workers, community members, and stakeholders through a variety of workshops, talks, performances, and interactive experiences, with the goal of integrating arts, health, and healing more deeply within community and public health initiatives.
