About this conference
This in-person, comprehensive training is designed for Native Nations with homelands in the Great Lakes region, institutions with collections affiliated to the Great Lakes region, and organizations with regional or national influence in repatriation work. Participants will receive hands-on training and a certificate in NAGPRA regulations and legal requirements, collaboration and consultation, and compliance strategy and documentation. This training is built for practitioners actively working in repatriation. Sessions include mock scenarios, collaborative problem-solving, talking circles, and focused workshops on compliance and museum management. Participants will leave with practical tools they can use immediately.
