Governor's Hurricane Conference®

The Governor's Hurricane Conference (GHC) was established to provide a vehicle to present lessons learned and other important information about hurricanes to public and private officials, especially local emergency management professionals and those involved in preparedness, planning, response and recovery at all levels of government, industry and private interests. The primary target audience continues to be first-line responders to a hurricane or other tropical weather event. The Conference also serves as a forum for state and local emergency management officials to exchange ideas and discuss new policies to improve emergency management in the State of Florida. It is the largest, most well-attended and affordable hurricane conference in the nation, offering over 300 hours of training and workshops, and serving as a forum for current trends, topics, tools, and technology. It provides professional development, collaboration, and networking opportunities for all levels of government, private sector, healthcare, and voluntary organizations, expecting more than 2,000 participants. The event also features an exhibit hall with over 200 vendors showcasing state-of-the-art technologies, products, and services.
