About this conference
Join us on September 18th at Lipscomb University for our inaugural meeting! Faculty are at the heart of our institutions' mission. While students are the focus of our work, teaching and learning flourish because of the dedication, expertise, and creativity of faculty members. To support this vital work, TICUA is launching the Faculty Development Collaborative, bringing together the academic leaders responsible for faculty development across our campuses. The Collaborative is being co-hosted by Laura Morrow, Executive Director of Lipscomb University's Center for Teaching and Learning, and Ashley Fitch Blair, Director of Union University's Center for Faculty Development. This inaugural gathering will provide an opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and learn from one another's successes and challenges. Participants will explore how institutions are supporting faculty growth and effectiveness while engaging in focused conversations on emerging issues—including how strong pedagogy and effective teaching practices can serve as the best response to concerns about student use of artificial intelligence. We are excited to launch this new network of faculty development leaders and strengthen collaboration among TICUA campuses. By investing in those who support faculty excellence, we further advance the core mission of teaching and learning across our member institutions.
