ENERGY TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS & FACILITY TOUR

Join us Friday, May 1 in Winthrop, MA for technical presentations and a facility tour of MWRA's Deer Island Treatment Plant (DITP). MWRA's Deer Island is one of the largest treatment facilities in the world, so managing energy consumption is critical for the MWRA. MWRA staff will describe some of their energy reduction projects. One project that will be highlighted is the evaluation of a Combined Heat and Power Facility utilizing MWRA's digester gas. Representatives from Eversource will also be presenting on their partnership with the Authority and on their three-year energy efficiency plan. This is a special opportunity to see how a large utility functions and manages its power use.
