This seminar, organized by the New York State Government Finance Officers' Association (NYGFOA), provides professional growth opportunities and fosters communication among members on the latest trends and changes in government finance. Topics include hot-button issues, core training, and economic updates. The program for June 16, 2026, features sessions on: Single Audit and Uniform Guidance Update, covering new developments, federal agency focus areas, and their impact on planning, testing, internal controls, and audit expectations, including grant oversight and communication with pass-through entities; Less Paper - Less Risk: How Automation Cuts Fraud and Strengthens Municipal Finance, focusing on effective strategies to reduce fraud exposure through modern, automated solutions for invoice management and disbursements, strengthening internal controls, and improving operational efficiency; Cybersecurity and Internal Control, where a panel of government finance professionals will discuss public sector cybersecurity vulnerabilities, its incorporation into internal control processes, and best practices through table discussions. The seminar also includes a networking luncheon. Attendees can earn CPE and GFI credit. On-site registration is available with an additional fee of $10.00. Registration fees are $100.00 for members and $200.00 for non-members. Cancellations up to one week prior to the event are refunded less a $15.00 administrative fee; no refunds thereafter.
Sponsorship options
Regional sponsorship opportunities are available for this event. Sponsorship includes two complimentary registrations, logo placement on all digital marketing materials, logo featured on the NYGFOA Event Page for the duration of the marketing campaign (5-6 weeks), recognition by the event emcee, and visual recognition on a Sponsor Board. Sponsors are required to email two company logos (RGB JPEG or PNG image with a minimum of 150 DPI for brochures; Illustrator EPS formatted vector image with 300 DPI for sponsor boards) and a website/webpage link to the events planner.
