Dallas Summer Institute

The AVID Summer Institute is a 3-day professional learning event designed to energize educators with practical strategies, meaningful collaboration, and clear next steps to support every student in achieving college and career readiness. The Dallas institute takes place across two downtown venues, the Sheraton Dallas and Dallas Marriott Downtown, with activities including interactive Communities of Practice (CoPs), an inspiring General Session, and dedicated Site Team time. CoPs are facilitated, collaborative learning experiences tailored to meet the unique needs of educators within schools and districts, allowing participants to deepen expertise, explore instructional strategies, and refine practice. The General Session connects student voice, educator practice, and leadership purpose through inspiring student performances and authentic stories. Dedicated Site Team time supports alignment, planning, and coherence, enabling teams to set shared goals and prepare for AVID implementation. Optional pre-sessions include AVID 101 and Leading Site Teams on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
