About this conference
The CSTA New England Regional Conference 2026, hosted in South Portland, Maine, focuses on 'Cultivating curiosity, creativity & risk-taking in CS!' The conference emphasizes 'moxie,' defined as the courage to try, persistence to debug, and curiosity to ask why in computer science education. It aims to foster an environment where students and educators can take risks, test ideas, and learn from failure, celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the joy of discovery. The event cultivates resilient thinkers, inventive builders, and bold learners, believing that computer science is about having the moxie to shape the future. The program includes breakfast, registration, exhibit hall, posters, welcome and keynote, multiple session blocks, lunch with a keynote, coffee breaks, and a closing raffle.
