About this conference
The Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) conference is an annual community development program designed for stakeholders, economic developers, businesses, local government, educators, and non-profits. It aims to create a network that increases a community's potential for entrepreneurship, allowing participants to share ideas, learn best practices, and gain exciting concepts and resources to empower themselves and others to foster local community growth. The conference features breakout sessions embedded within local shops and businesses, offering a unique opportunity to experience and learn about an entrepreneurial community. It educates communities on tools and resources to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems and rural economic development initiatives. The 2027 conference will be hosted by the City of Negaunee.
