About this conference
The Illinois Association for Pupil Transportation (IAPT) Conference 2026 is a three-day event dedicated to continuing education, networking, and sharing ideas for all those involved in Illinois school bus transportation. The conference offers workshops, presentations, a bus roadeo, a trade show, and an awards dinner. Keynote speaker Jan McInnis will share insights on using humor in business. Topics will include updates from various State Agencies (Illinois Secretary of State, Illinois State Board of Education, Illinois Department of Transportation), an in-depth session on Truckers Against Trafficking, FMCSA regulations regarding ELDT Audits and the Drug and Alcohol Clearing House, Bus Monitor Training, Special Needs Training, Driver Training best practices, and a special presentation on State Claims. The event will also feature Mechanic/Tech workshops and a trade show with vendors showcasing the newest products and services in the industry.
