Starting in 2027, the annual Community Colleges for Iowa Convention & Tradeshow will merge with the Summer Trustee Conference. This combined event will be the sole statewide professional development conference dedicated to community college administrators, staff, and faculty. It aims to foster collaboration, learning, and celebrate excellence within the Iowa community college system, bringing together leaders, trustees, faculty, and staff from Iowa's community colleges, alongside partners from the Iowa Department of Education. The integrated format is designed to maintain comprehensive professional development, enhance engagement among college leadership, and optimize participation and efficiency by consolidating major statewide gatherings. Attendees will engage in discussions focusing on the evolving role of governance in advancing access and opportunities for students, communities, and the state.
