COABE's Flood the Hill is a national advocacy event held during Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Week. This impactful event brings together adult learners, educators, program staff, state association representatives, workforce partners, and other advocates from across the country to Washington, D.C. Participants meet with Members of Congress and federal lawmakers to brief them on adult education and the AI-ready workforce, share how adult education transforms lives and communities, and build lasting relationships with elected officials. The event includes advocacy training, a legislative breakfast, a congressional briefing, and Capitol Hill meetings.
