About this conference
Since 2016, the United States Conference of Mayors, in partnership with South by Southwest and the City of Austin, has organized the Civic I/O Mayors' Summit at SXSW. Each March, mayors from around the country gather at the summit, which serves as a platform to bring together city leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and provocative thinkers to learn from one another and engage in the premier destination for discovery. The event challenges mayors and their staff to explore new ideas and technology, and includes specialized content sessions, participation in panels covering pressing issues like public safety, housing affordability, and disinformation in local politics, and a Civic Tech Pitch competition for startups offering solutions to civic challenges.
Sponsorship options
Sponsoring opportunities are available for Conference of Mayors meetings and events through the Mayors Business Council. Corporate members can play an active role in the organization's work and engage with mayors and CEOs to strengthen local economies.
