CFTOA Meeting - October 20, 2026 (08:00)

The Colorado Fire Training Officers Association (CFTOA) General Membership Meeting brings together fire service training officers, instructors, agency representatives, and other members from across Colorado to discuss issues affecting fire service education, training, professional development, and certification throughout the state. General Membership Meetings provide a forum for members to discuss current and proposed policies, procedures, standards, and requirements related to Colorado fire service certifications and training. Members have the opportunity to identify concerns, share experiences from their departments and regions, and provide input on issues that may affect firefighters, instructors, training officers, and fire service organizations statewide. CFTOA also works through its committees and membership to evaluate proposed changes and develop recommendations regarding education, training programs, certification requirements, testing, instructor development, and professional qualification standards. Recommendations supported by the membership may be advanced to the appropriate state-level committees, boards, agencies, or partner organizations for further consideration. These meetings are an important part of ensuring that Colorado's fire service has a voice in the development and continued improvement of the training and certification programs that affect departments and personnel throughout the state. In addition to statewide training and certification matters, General Membership Meetings include Association business, officer and committee reports, upcoming training opportunities and events, committee activities, regional updates, and other matters brought before the membership.
