About this conference

The 39th annual CampusEnergy2026 conference, hosted by the International District Energy Association (IDEA), will focus on "Advancing Thermal Networks." This four-day event is designed to bring together over 1,400 energy professionals, policymakers, and technology innovators to explore district energy, microgrids, and thermal energy networks as essential tools for decarbonization at scale. The conference will showcase how various campuses, including universities, airports, military bases, and cities, are deploying innovative technologies to reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and strengthen resilience. Attendees can expect to gain insights through more than 140 technical sessions, hands-on workshops, site tours, expert panels, and real-world case studies covering topics such as campus energy modernization, district cooling and heating, thermal energy networks (TENs), combined heat and power (CHP), energy storage, and data center integration. The event also includes student and workforce development programs aimed at fostering the next generation of energy leaders.
