About this conference

The 2026 Summer Conference of the Association of Teacher Educators will focus on "Building Bridges: Connecting Passion, Pedagogy, and Purpose." The conference theme and strands explore how teachers can harmonize their personal passion for teaching with effective pedagogical practices while staying grounded in their purpose to create positive, meaningful impacts in students' lives. Strands include Passion-Driven Pedagogy, Building Relationships and Student-Centered Pedagogy, Innovative Approaches to Student Engagement, Reflective Practice: Connecting Growth and Purpose, and Mindful Teaching: Well-Being and Passion in Education. The conference aims to inspire educators to connect intrinsic motivations with pedagogical approaches, leading to fulfilling and impactful teaching careers. Sessions may involve application of research, position papers, existing programs/practices, or innovation in teacher education.
