About this conference

For 50 years, the University of Florida has offered training and continuing education for Florida's pesticide applicators through the Aquatic Weed Control Short Course. The Short Course features leading experts in Aquatic and Upland vegetation management and is designed to benefit those new to the industry and experienced professionals seeking a comprehensive update. Attendees will benefit if they need Florida Pesticide Applicator CEUs, are planning to take the test to become a certified pesticide applicator in Florida, are responsible for aquatic weed control in various waterways (canals, lakes, golf course ponds, rivers, parks, residential developments), operate and calibrate pesticide application equipment, are employed by public agencies or private companies for vegetation management (along right-of-ways and in natural areas), are employees of manufacturers or distributors of aquatic or vegetation management herbicides, use biological control techniques, need to identify aquatic and wetland plants, or establish and maintain wetland mitigation areas. The program provides up to 4 core CEUs and 16 category CEUs in areas like aquatic, natural areas, right-of-way, forestry, ornamental, and turf.

Sponsorship options

Sponsorship options include Gold ($4,500), Silver ($3,000), Bronze ($2,000), and General ($1,500) levels.
