About this conference
The purpose of this conference is to create the opportunity for Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) to network and collaborate, increase professional development, share instructional methods that promote bilingualism and multiculturalism, disseminate current research, and learn new ways to reach out to families and communities. This conference is an opportunity for school and district leaders, classroom teachers, and staff working in DLBE programs to network with other DLBE practitioners, engage in professional development for DLBE instruction, and learn how to develop and advocate for DLBE. The conference theme is Campeones del bilingüismo: Building justiça together. A no-cost virtual Pre-Conference Advocacy Roundtable is also held for invited guests and interested parties including school and district leaders, state education agencies, legislators, higher education institutions, and community organizations from the region.
