Annual AR SWANA Conference

Join the 2026 Arkansas SWANA Solid Waste Conference in Little Rock for networking, industry insights, and innovation in waste and recycling. The 2026 Arkansas SWANA Conference marks the return of the Arkansas Chapter’s full multi-day conference for the first time since 2019. From August 5–7, 2026, solid waste and recycling professionals from across Arkansas will gather in Little Rock for three days of education, networking, and industry collaboration. In addition to educational programming, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in optional conference excursions, including a tour of the Arkansas State Capitol and a trap shooting outing at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex in Jacksonville. Attendees can expect three days of valuable learning, professional connections, and unique experiences in Central Arkansas, with educational sessions on advocacy and policy, operational safety and efficiency, environmental impact reduction, and community-focused waste management solutions. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) applicable toward maintaining SWANA certifications can be earned, along with the 6-hour update required by the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment, Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for Solid Waste Operator License holders. Opportunities for networking include connecting with colleagues from across Arkansas and the surrounding region, including public sector leaders, private industry professionals, and partners in environmental services.
