American Indian Higher Education Consortium Student Conference

Since its inception in 1980, this annual event has evolved from a small gathering into a significant conference, attracting over 1,000 students, faculty, and staff each spring. The conference serves as a platform for participants to engage in academic, cultural, and artistic competitions, share insights and best practices, attend plenary sessions, and collectively celebrate the Tribal College Movement. The 2026 AIHEC Student Conference, hosted in Bismarck, North Dakota, aims to foster student leadership development, enhance academic and career preparation, facilitate cultural exchange, and encourage engagement with AIHEC programs and initiatives.
