About this conference
The Alaska Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (ATCEM) is hosted by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortiumâs Community Environment and Health. They partner closely with ANTHCâs Climate Initiatives team, along with representatives from nonprofits, communities, industry, and all levels of government to develop the conference session content. Itâs four days of plenaries, breakout sessions, and networking with exhibitors. The conference features six tracks: Capacity Building, Community Infrastructure, Contaminated Sites, One Health, Resilience, and Solid & Hazardous Waste. The event serves as a vital networking space for Tribal environmental professionals from across the state to learn from one another, connect with support organizations and agencies, and discover resources to help assist in efforts to improve local environmental health. It aims to equip Alaskans with the resources needed to better address environmental concerns through information-sharing, partner-building, and plan development.
